What is it?
Critical Illness Cover is designed to pay out a lump sum or monthly income when the person covered suffers from one of the specified critical illnesses during the term of the policy. Policies will usually also pay out when the person covered dies or is diagnosed with a terminal illness (where life expectancy is less than 12 months).
You can choose to have your claim paid as a level lump sum, increasing lump sum, decreasing lump sum, level monthly income or increasing monthly income.
